Dolores Pumpkin Check Mini Dress

I used to buy from Collectif all the time around 2015-2019 (pre-pregnancy!) and decided to try them again now I've gone back to that style of dress. I was super excited to buy a trusty Dolores, their signature style that I owned so many of back in the day!

But oh my goodness, I was SO disappointed. This is not the old Collectif quality at all. I had to chase dispatch after a week, and my items arrived in a crumpled package. And then when I removed the two Dolores dresses from their bags, I could immediately tell that the material was not the same stuff it used to be. Very shiny and stiff, no longer with that softness or quality that made the fit so perfect.

I bought them in the sale and paid around £20-30 each, with their original prices being way more. Not worth the money anymore at all.

I returned both items for a refund, unfortunately now out of pocket by almost £6 because they don't refund the postage (which is not great to say it took so long for it to even arrive).

What happened, Collectif??

This is a gorgeous dress, lovely fabric that washes well and needs very little ironing after. However, as has been said, the bodice fits snug, though I would imagine the fabric will relax once it's been worn and washed a few more times. Just trying to decide which one I want to order next 😅
